"You're a bloody idiot!" Thorin yelled at Bilbo, forcing the Halfling against the rocky mountainside. "You could have gotten yourself killed!" His fist slammed down on the rock beside Bilbo's cheek.
Bilbo met Thorin's furious eyes, confused but defiant. "I saved you."
"For which I am eternally grateful," Thorin snarled, the truth in his words startling Bilbo. "But my life is not worth yours." His voice was soft, pain shining in his eyes.  The fist that landed near Bilbo's face uncurled, moving slowly to the Halfling's cheek, cupping it gently. "My life will never be worth yours."
"You're wrong," Bilbo's voice was soft, so soft in fact that it was barely audible, but the words still fell upon Thorin's ears. Thorin cocked his head, noticing that Bilbo didn't push his hand away. He let his thumb explore the hobbit's face, amazed by the lack of facial hair. He had never felt skin so smooth in his life.
"Am I?" Thorin barely spoke above a whisper, his head straightening as he pressed against Bilbo, moving his forearm so that it pinned the his chest. "Listen, Halfling," Thorin moved closer to Bilbo, their foreheads pressed together, their lips almost touching. "You are valuable, more precious than fine metals, than gold. You mean something."
At this Bilbo laughed, albeit uncertainly. He wasn't sure how he felt about Thorin's body pressed against him, but he was surprised to find that he wasn't against it. "To who?"
Thorin's eyes met Bilbo's unflinchingly, the raw emotion in them stirring something deep inside of the Halfling. "To me."
Thorin was against him then, pulling the hobbit as close as he could as he kissed him, the arm that had pressed against Bilbo's chest now wrapping around his back, pulling him closer.  Bilbo barely had time to react, moving his tiny fingers to Thorin's hair before Thorin pulled away, pushing Bilbo back gently, turning to report back to the group.
He had walked a good eight steps away, before he stopped, half tilting his head back towards Bilbo, the fading sunlight catching his jaw bones, bringing out a beauty in the Dwarf that the Hobbit had never seen before. "You will always mean something to me."
What really happened when Bilbo saved Thorin's ass.

The best part? I don't even ship Thilbo. I'm a Thili person. Thili and Kili all the freaking way man...just...as long as Kili's adopted. I don't like the whole Uncle/nephew things, but Kili and Thorin just... yeah. Anyway.

I find it funny how Martin's characters always get sucked (haha) into gay ships
